About time I get around to posting my Holiday deco9r considering I decorated BEFORE Thanksgiving! All of my decor is purchased in the Dollar Spot or Wondershop at Target, during Joann Fabric’s 60 or 70% off sale, or from stores like Gabe’s, Big Lots of Walmart! Another tip to save money is check out the Dollar Tree – I found some ornaments for my tree there; other good finds include wrapping paper, candles, vases, candle holders and garland to fill in faux trees if needed!
Keep in mind – the day after Christmas, everything at almost every store is 50% off or more. I literally wake up at 7 AM the day after Christmas and hit the Dollar Tree for $.50 gift bags, Target for ornaments, gift tags, ribbons and the like, and anything big that I didn’t want to pay full price for! Stuff goes quick – honestly by noon, the st0re is bare so shop early and shop online – not online! I promise you I have done this for years and I get the absolute best deals.
So for my decor, the key is sticking with a color scheme! My color scheme is natural greens (tons of faux garland and greenery – none of it is necessarily the same, but it all goes together! I also picked up these candles on Amazon that are battery operated – no Holiday mishaps in this house! My signs, brush bottle trees, and small little trees are all under $10 from Target! So are the cute ceramic houses.
For my live tree, I buy huge ornaments from Joann Fabrics along with holiday ribbon – I also buy tons of glittery and sparkly greenery to stick throughout the tree to make it look fuller! The beads were hand me downs – but really add a lot to my tree! I also found a 10 pack/$1 snowflakes at the Dollar Tree! Such a deal. Basically, more is more on a Christmas tree in my opinion..which is why mine is very full.
