It is finally feeling like fall in western Pennsylvania, so a perfect time to decorate! I will take any excuse to decorate. Most of my decor has been up for a month now, but I needed a couple of extra things to polish it off! Today on the blog I wanted to share with you some decor tips for fall on a budget!
I live in a small row home so I don’t have a whole lot of space to decorate – a really small stoop out front and a living room, basically. My house came with tons of exposed brick (it’s over 100 years old!) so the fireplace and its original brick is definitely the focal point so I tend to decorate around that for the holidays.
Fireplace Decor: My sister made me this perfect sign, candlesticks are from a thrift store, and the collection of different pumpkins are from the Dollar Tree, TJMaxx, and Target Dollar Spot. All of the floral greens are from Joann Fabrics. Tips: the Dollar Tree has orange pumpkins for a dollar – you can customize them however you want! Target Dollar Spot always has tons of decor, just make sure you know when they stock it because the stuff goes so quickly! Always keep an eye out at thrift stores for vases, jars, and candleholders. You can customize them easily with paint!
This wreath is the perfect piece of decor because you can customize it for ANY holiday! For fall, I added ribbon and pumpkins (floral wire is your friend!) and easily for Christmas I will add different ribbon and probably some bows! For spring, I can add flowers. This is an example of an item you can easily customize so you can use it all year long!
These pumpkins are a super easy DIY – and I am linking it here from last year! You can make them for under $3 each with supplies from the Dollar Tree – but shop early, because by mid October they have Christmas stuff already! I love the simple greenery from Joann Fabrics – all on sale for 60% off! Make SURE you use a coupon at Joann and never pay full price!

This basket and lantern are great items that can be customized for any holiday! I filled this one with pumpkins, and for Christmas will fill it with pinecones. A blanket scarf (c’mon we have 10 of them at least!) can double as a cute throw in a basket!
I loved putting together this focal point on my coffee table. I mentioned that I picked up all of these pumpkins at the Target Dollar Spot for $1 each – and they sell out quickly, so I stocked up! The greens and white floral are both from Joann Fabrics.

Lovely ideas! I normally try to go for budget versions for such decor because it doesn’t stay long, the purpose is just to make us happy for a bit and that’s it.
